Bewitching Distress Ink sky

Hello my crafty friends! Today I will be using sugar pea designs Bewitched stamp set to make two special cards for two special friends.

This stamp set comes with three darling little witches, two cute little kittens, eight sentiments. One witches hat and a trick or treat pumpkin. The amount of stamps they give you makes for many card making options.

I chose to use all the little witches today to make two cards. The first card I made, I used the little witch on the broom stick.

Using my Misti stamping platform, I stamped the darling witch with Gina Ks amalgam ink in the middle of a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 piece of white cardstock. I then die cut a large stitched circle from masking paper and placed it over the little witch.

Using wilted Violet distress ink I blended ink around the masking circle.

Using blueprint sketch distress ink, I then blended ink around the wilted violet ink.

Using Black soot distress ink I then blended the ink into the blueprint and violet ink. I began pulling the die cut masking paper off to reveal the non-inked surface of my paper. Using another piece of masking paper, I stamped the witch on the broom stick. Once the image was cut out, I placed it on top of the pre stamped image. Using Scattered Straw Distress ink, I blended ink around the witch. Using Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, I then blended ink through out the rest of the moon.

Note: when blending ink into the moon, I used the sides and flat ends of the blending sponge to give the moon some texture.

Next I peeled off the masking paper over the witch.

Using my Copic markers I used B69, FV2 & Y11 to color in the witches cape. using E23,E25,E27 & Y11 I colored in the broom stick. Using E23, E25,E27,E29 &E79 to color in the hair.

Using R39 & R89 I colored in the dress. Using N4, N5 & N7, I colored in the witches Boots. Using the Gina K amalgam ink , I stamped the cat and hat on scrap paper. ( I later decided not to use the cat) After coloring in both cat and hat, I cut them out. The hat I decided to use and adhere to the witches head. The cat I chose to save for later.

Using an MFT banner die, I cut out a banner on dark navy blue papers and heat embossed the ” There’s Magic in the air ” sentiment with gold embossing powder and adhered it to the bottom of the cardstock. Using a white gel pen I added some interest and drew on dots and twinkles to represent stars. Using a Stardust Clear Gel pen I added some twinkle to the witches hat buckle.

The next card I made, used the witch sitting on the books and the banner witch.

This card was relatively easy. I placed the two witches in my Misti Stamp Platform and made sure the were level. They were then stamped with Amagam ink by Gina K. Using a T-Square Ruler, I drew a straight line to give them a floor line. I then used masking paper to cover the two witches.

once they were masked, I used a Neat & Tangled wood plank stamp to make the floor. I also used Wilted Violet Distress Ink to make the wall background. I then used Copic Markers to color in the two witches.

Using the ” You’re a wicked good friend” sentiment I stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder.

I added some interest by adding some sequins .

That’s all for today folks! I highly recommend this product. There are so many more card Ideas that can be made from this one stamp set. I hope you enjoyed today’s blog and come back soon for some more crafty goodness!

Have fun, my crafty friends!
