Using one method to make several different cards

Judging by the amount of views I got, I’m guessing all my crafty friends liked the last two card tutorials I did. I must say I was astounded and really grateful to all of you.

I decided that I would showcase other cards; using the same method I used for the last two tutorials.

The great thing about card making is that there really aren’t two many rules to follow and you can never be wrong while creating. Art in any form and at any hand is beautiful.

My first tutorial using this fun layering method was a card using the beautiful Honey Bee stamps – Spring Blossoms

Using the stamp from the bottom right side of the set and several leaves I created the “It’s been too long” card. This card features a beautiful little flower amidst a dry embossed Fleur de lis design. The card features a stitched rectangle cutout around the sentiment from Miss you Missy – Simon Says Stamp with a flower placed delicately on the right hand corner of the card.

The next card was made along the same lines as the first card but a couple things were changed and it changed the appearance of the card. The first thing I changed was the embossing folder I went from a fleur-de-lis folder to a woodgrain folder. I also chose a different sentiment that was long and rectangular just like my cut out. The final change was instead of leaves I added flower buds. This card was made using the Honey Bee stamp set “Spring Blossoms” for the flowers and the “Miss you Missy” – Simon says stamp set for the sentiment.

The next card I made was also made along the same lines as the first two cards . It has subtle changes and one change that you wouldn’t think would make all the difference in the world; but it does. For this card instead of using the card base folded so the opening is to the left I flipped it and made it a bottom opening card. For the sentiment and flowers I used the Stamptember Simon Says Stamp and Altenew collaboration stamp set called Dainty Sprig. I also added some Nuvo drops to the card. The embossing folder I used had a chevron pattern.

The next card I made was my absolute favorite. I absolutely love sunflowers and I almost always have to have every sunflower stamps that I find. I changed this card up by doubling up the layers that were embossed with an embossing folder. The stamps that I used were the Avery Elle sunflowers stamp set. To make this card a little different from several others that I have just recently showed you, I added a larger stamp using the twig wreath and placed a large sunflower in the bottom I also instead of attaching the sentiment to the middle cut out, I placed it separately on an individual die cut piece of card stock. To give the sunflower a little jazz I added some sparkle to the middle of the sunflower. Unfortunately the sparkle is hard to catch on camera but in real life the person who gets this card will see sparkles galore.

Some other things you can do to make each card different is change up the diecuts that you use. You can also add sequins or glitter or Nuvo drops. Sometimes something as little as a change of color can make a card look Completely different from a card that was made the same exact way. The absolute best thing about art is that it’s never wrong.
